HERAMBHA GANAPATHI
Appearance:
Arudra nakshatra or Thiruvathira nakshatram is related to Heramba Ganapati.
The complexion is white and rides on the mighty Lion
The Heramba Ganapathi is very rare form and protector of the weak.
In this form Lord Ganesh appears with five heads and ten hands.
The main right hand posture Abhya Mudra bestows blessing to all the devotees
and main left hand grants wishes.
On the other hands holds a noose, japa beads mala (Rudrashaka), a battle axe, a battle hammer,
his broken tusk as a weapon, garland, a fruit and his favorite sweet Modaka.

abhayavaradahastaM pAshadaMtAkShamAlAsRuNiparashudadhAnaM mudgaraM mOdakaM ca |

Mantra Translation:
The five-heads Ganapati is white in colour with ten arms and rides on the lion.
His first hand shows the movement of lack of fear (abhaya),
the others hold the rosary, the citron, the club, the elephant goad,
the noose, the axe, the kadabu cake, the single tusk,
his tenth hand shows the movement which bestows boons (varada).
